Maintaining Your Quartz Worktop

Quartz worktops are strong and durable, but their longevity can be increased further through careful maintenance.

Cleaning

Routinely clean your worktop using a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Ensure that the detergent is non-abrasive and non-bleach. A glass or surface cleaner can be used for dried on stains – simply spray the stain and leave to soak for a few minutes. Then wipe with a soft sponge.

If you spill a drink on the countertop then it’s important to clean it up as soon as possible. Quartz can stand liquids for a certain amount of time, but after a while there is a chance of staining.

Preventing damage

Quartz can withstand extreme heat, however sudden changes in temperature could result in damage. To be extra carful use a heat trivet or pad between your surface and any hot pans.

Again quartz worktops are scratch resistant but it’s still better to avoid using sharp knives directly on the surface!

As you can see there is very little effort required to keep your countertop in good condition! If you’d like to know more about our Quartz Worktops in Hertford then get in touch using our contact details!
